Suicide: Here’s What Nobody Is Talking About

by Ellen Vora, MD on Jun 10, 2018 / Share

With all this conversation about suicide, there is one enormous missing piece.

I’d like to caveat this discussion by saying: psychiatric medications help many people. There are no easy answers with this topic. Also, you may come away from this video with doubts about taking psychiatric medications. This is not a reason to decide to go off medication. Going off medication is potentially dangerous and is a decision and process that should only be undertaken under close supervision from a licensed medical professional experienced with managing psychiatric medication tapers. If you are feeling suicidal or unsafe, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room, and keep yourself safe.
